REGISTRATION CATEGORIES
- Student Registration - To be eligible for the student registration rate, you must be enrolled on a full-time basis, studying either as a Medical Student or an undergraduate degree. Proof of student enrolment is required at the time of registering.
- Trainee Registration is intended for medical and surgical people who do not yet have their specialist qualifications.
- Scientific Registration is intended for those people in full time research positions and not in clinical practice, alongside full time Higher Degree students, i.e., MPhil and PhD.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
Payment details: Payment for an invoice is due within 14 working days of receipt
To pay an invoice please use the Credit Card payment link in the confirmation email or alternatively use Direct Bank Transfer (please quote invoice number if using this method):

Cancellation Policy:
Registration: If notification of cancellation is made in writing to the Conference Secretariat prior to Monday 17 March 2026 a full refund will be given (less a AU$175 processing fee). After this date no refund will be given, however a substitute delegate may be accepted. Refunds for registration add-ons (workshops, dinners etc) will be given at the discretion of the Conference Secretariat.
Accommodation: Please refer to the individual hotels terms and conditions for their cancellation policy. All cancellations and changes should be made through the SSA 2026 Conference Secretariat only.
Photography:
There may be photographs taken throughout the conference and at the social events. These may be used for promotional activities, including the SSA website and social media. If you do not want your photograph taken, or used, please notify the photographer onsite at your earliest convenience.
Liability / Insurance:
Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. Neither SSA nor DC Conference & Association Management will accept liability for, but not limited to:
All delegates are strongly advised to take out insurance cover for their registration, travel and accommodation in the unlikely event of non-attendance or conference cancellation.
Force Majeure:
The Organizers and co-Organizers of the Meeting shall not be held responsible for any delay or failure in performance of its obligations hereunder to the extent such delay or failure is caused by fire, flood, strike, civil, governmental or military authority, acts of God, acts of terrorism, acts of war, epidemics, the un-availability of the venue or other similar causes beyond its reasonable control and without fault or negligence. For one or more of such reasons, the organizers and any co-organizers of the Meeting may postpone, reschedule or cancel the event without liability on the part of organizers and co-organizers of the Meeting. In the event the meeting cannot be held or is postponed pursuant to this section, the organizers and co-organizers of the Meeting shall not be liable to attendee for any direct, consequential or incidental damages, costs, or losses incurred, such as transportation costs, accommodations costs, or financial losses.
Letter of Invitation:
Please note that our policy is to only issue a letter of invitation to an international delegate once registration and full payment has been received. A letter of invitation from the conference does not guarantee entry into Australia. Please email ssaasm@dccam.com.au to request a letter of invitation after your registration and payment has been submitted.
