Venue Access
The centre features multiple access points, which can be reached by foot, car or taxi. The Porte Cochere (Garawa) space at the front of the Centre is a drop-off point with a dropped curb. 

Parking
Parking is available onsite at the centre, further details regarding parking details, fees can be found here, on page 5.

The Darwin Convention Centre has 233 parking spaces available underneath the Centre, including seven disabled spaces. With easily accessible public car parks also available throughout the Darwin Waterfront Precinct.

Check in at the Registration Desk
The Registration Desk is located on the ground floor in the Concourse Foyer. Opening times are as follows:
Sunday 19 July: 7:30am – 6:00pm
Monday 20 July: 7:00am – 5:00pm
Tuesday 21 July: 8:00am – 3:30pm
Wednesday 22 July: 8:30am – 2:00pm

Registration Entitlements

Full Registration Entitlements Include:
Admission to all scientific sessions, access to the conference app, attendance e-certificate, morning/afternoon teas and lunches on each day of the conference, and one ticket to the Welcome Reception on Sunday 19 July 2026. 

Day Registration Entitlements Include:
Admission to all scientific sessions on the day of your registration, access to the conference app, attendance e-certificate, and morning/afternoon teas and lunch on the day of your registration. This registration type does not include a ticket to the Welcome Reception. If you would like to attend the Welcome reception, please contact the Conference Secretariat.

Exhibition Opening Hours & Catering Details
The conference exhibition and all catering breaks will be held in the Exhibition - Hall 1. Catering break times can be found in the conference program.

Pre-Conference Workshops:
Held on Saturday 18 July at Palmerston Regional Hospital and Sunday 19 July at the Darwin Convention Centre.

Delegates attending the Saturday workshop will have received a second email with additional information on the workshop and location.

Sunday workshop catering breaks will be held just outside the workshop rooms in the Waterfront Rooms Foyer.

Exhibition - Hall 1 – First Look
The exhibition will open for the first time on Sunday 19 July, from 5:00pm - 6:30pm for the Welcome Reception.

Dietary Requirements
If you have already advised of a special dietary request, please make yourself known to the banqueting staff at the Darwin Convention Centre in order to collect your special meal. Vegetarians will be catered for within the standard catering package.

Conference Information

Name Badges
All delegates are required to wear their name badges for the entire conference; they are your official pass to sessions and meal breaks and access to the Exhibition - Hall 1. 

What are the icons on your name badge?

 

If you have a KNIFE&FORK icon on your name badge, this means you have a ticket to the Gala Dinner.

 

If you have a KNIFE&FORK +GUEST icon on your name badge, this means you have a ticket to the Gala Dinner for yourself and your guest/s.

 

If you have a MON, TUE and/or WED icon on your name badge, this means you have purchased a day registration and are only able to attend on the indicated day/s.

Speaker Preparation Room
Located in Bundirrik (MR4) on the Ground Floor, Speaker Preparation will be open from 7:00am on Sunday 19 July until 1:30pm on Wednesday 22 July.
All presenters must visit the team at least 1 – 2 hours prior to their session start time.
Presentations should be brought on a USB. Speakers wishing to use their own laptop for their presentation are still required to visit Speaker Preparation.

Poster Display
The poster display will be located in Exhibition - Hall 1.

Access to the poster boards will be available from 5:00pm on Sunday 19 July 2026. Posters should be in place by 10:30am, Monday 20 July 2026 and will be displayed for the duration of the conference.

Posters must be printed in A0 portrait. Presenters are required to bring their own white blu-tac for attachment to the boards.

Digital versions of the posters are included in the RMSANZ 2026 conference app, alongside a copy of the poster author’s abstract.
Poster presenters will be standing by their hard copy poster to answer any questions during the poster viewing sessions. Details are as follows:

Poster Viewing Times

  • Monday 20 July, 1:00pm – 1:30pm - Odd Number Poster Authors to stand by their posters
  • Tuesday 21 July, 1:15pm – 1:45pm - Even Number Poster Authors to stand by their posters 

Poster authors must remove their poster by 1:30pm on Wednesday 22 July if they wish to take their posters with them. Any posters remaining after this time will be disposed of.

CPD Points/Certificates of Attendance
All delegates attending a pre-conference workshop and/or RMSANZ 2026 will receive an e-certificate of attendance. The certificates will be emailed to all delegates shortly after the conference; no hard copies will be available. Please contact the Conference Secretariat if you need to update your email address.

The attendance certificate will note the number of educational hours completed. You will need this certificate to apply for CPD accreditation points through your chosen college. We recommend delegates self-record as colleges differ on their professional development point systems. 

Conference Feedback
Delegates will be emailed a link to a daily evaluation at the end of each day; participation is appreciated. Feedback is important to ensure changes and improvements are made to future conferences. Delegates who complete the evaluation can go into the running to win a complimentary registration to RMSANZ 2027.

Visiting Darwin in July means perfect "dry season" weather with daily temperatures ranging from 21°C to 32°C, zero rainfall, and, occasionally, cool ocean breezes.
