Dr Zhihao “Zee” Oon graduated from Queen Mary, University of London in 2007 as a medical doctor. After completing foundation training in specialties including Emergency Medicine and Paediatrics, he commenced specialist training in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine in London, UK in 2009 and was admitted to the UK GMC Specialist Register in 2018.
He completed a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management and Neuromodulation at Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust — one of the UK’s specialised centres offering spinal cord stimulation and was appointed as an Honorary Consultant in Pain Medicine in 2020.
From 2021 to 2025, Dr Oon worked as a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine at the National University Hospital, Singapore. During this time, he introduced new initiatives to the Pain Department, including intrathecal analgesia for cancer pain and spinal cord stimulation for patients with refractory neuropathic pain. He also authored the department’s current protocol for lidocaine infusions in chronic pain management and served as a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the National University of Singapore. He was also one of the principal investigators for a multi-national pharmaceutical research trial.
In 2025, he completed a further fellowship in Pain Medicine at Flinders Medical Centre, South Australia, and was awarded Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FFPMANZCA).
Dr Oon has also worked with Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) in Yemen, Syria and Gaza. Dr Trevor Brown (PhD) is a neuroscientist and Global Academy Manager at neurocare group. He holds a PhD from the University of New England in Cognitive Neuroscience. Dr Brown's academic background involves conducting an Honor's thesis that focused on performance enhancement in table tennis players using a brain training technique called neurofeedback. He then extended this research into his PhD, where he compared elite to sub-elite players using EEG brain mapping analyses (QEEG, ERP, and source localization). With the results of these differences in amateur vs elite athlete performance, he trained some aspiring table tennis players to improve their visual-spatial attention using a novel neurofeedback protocol.
As his main role now, Dr Brown teaches Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS), and Neurofeedback techniques, assisting clinicians around the world to treat various mental health disorders and increase performance.
Before joining neurocare, Dr Brown was a professional athlete for 12 years in Sweden, Poland, and France. He represented Australia at seven World Championships, two Commonwealth Games, and one Olympics in table tennis. Prior to beginning his PhD, he taught English in a French University for two years and speaks fluent French.
Dr Brown has been associated with neurocare since late 2017, where he began as Senior Neuroscientist and Trainer in Australia. From October 2021, he became neurocare's Global Academy Manager. Dr Eugene Henry is a dual-trained specialist in Emergency Medicine and Pain Medicine based in Western Australia. Karen is a clinical nurse specialist who has worked in neurology and neurosurgical specialities for more than 30 years within the public and private health care settings. Moving into the subspecialty of movement disorders and Parkinson’s disease patient care 20 years ago. She has contributed to enhanced outcomes for patients undergoing deep brain stimulation (DBS) as a movement disorder treatment since 2008. She remains actively involved in providing education and training to all levels of health professionals including nursing, medical and allied health professionals, and research work in this specialised area. In collaboration with a multidisciplinary group of neurologists, neuropsychiatrists, allied health professionals and nursing colleagues Karen’s role includes support of patient and families, DBS work up assessments and post DBS programming and ongoing therapy in the clinical setting. Dinesh was the first quadriplegic medical intern in Queensland. Dinesh is a doctor, lawyer, disability advocate, and researcher. While in medical school, he was involved in a car accident that caused a spinal cord injury. Dinesh was born in Sri Lanka, moving to Australia at the age of ten during the civil war.
Dinesh works in the emergency department at the Gold Coast University Hospital. He is a researcher and senior lecturer at the Griffith University and assistant professor at Bond University. Dinesh is a researcher in spinal cord injury, co-leading the BioSpine research team.
He is a doctor for the Gold Coast Titans physical disability rugby team. Dinesh was a senior advisor to the Disability Royal Commission. He is an advisory board member to HealthyLife, a Woolworths company. Dinesh is a John Monash Scholar. He is an independent non-executive director of George Steuart & Co, one of the oldest companies in the world.
Dinesh was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2019. He was the third Australian to be awarded a Henry Viscardi Achievement Award.
