Pain in Childhood Workshop

Details

Date: Sunday 13 April 2025
Time: 8:30am - 12:30pm

Program

The workshop opens with updates on managing pain in children with joint hypermobility and in palliative care from a holistic treatment perspective.

We will then explore virtual reality for pain management: local applications of INOVATE pain research and an opportunity to try the new technology.

Next, we will take a global perspective, introducing the Pain in Child Health (PICH) program to Australia. PICH is an international community of researchers cultivating and supporting new researchers and promoting new discoveries in child pain management. Speakers will outline the development of PICH, how PICH is supporting Australian research and linking with international research programs, and we will hear about local research projects.
