Welcome Reception

We are delighted to announce that the Welcome Reception will be held at Government House on Tuesday 11^th November from 5.30-7.30pm

Government House is located next to the Royal Botanic Gardens and is the principal residence of the Governor of Victoria, His Excellency Alex Chernov AC QC and Mrs Chernov.

A splendid night awaits guests with pre dinner drinks amongst iconic Melbourne memorabilia (including Phar Lap) in the Melbourne Gallery, before proceeding to the Birrarung Room, a living cultural centre for Victoria’s indigenous people, to enjoy a sumptuous three course meal with wine and entertainment.

Shane will be the guest speaker and is responsible for the award winning Murray Whelan series as well as Stiff, The Brush-Off, Nice Try, The Big Ask and Something Fishy. Shane is one of our nations best crime writers, and was presented with the Crime Writers Association Of Australia Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009.  Shane will share his experience and insights with guests at the conference dinner, it is a not to be missed event.
