ACNP Annual Conference - Gold Coast 2012

Incorporating for the first time the 2012 ED NursePrac Meeting 

The Organising Committee takes great pleasure in inviting all Nurses, and those interested in Nurse Practitioner issues to the 7th annual conference of the Australian College of Nurse Practitioners at the Outrigger - Surfers Paradise from 5th – 8th September 2012.

This conference is the major forum for the college to exchange ideas and create discussion around clinical and professional issues that affect nurse practitioners and those interested in advanced practice. Through the conference theme "Closing the Gaps and Clearing the Barriers", we will explore the diversity of health care and how Nurses fit within it from a geographical, indigenous health, consumer, interdisciplinary and political perspective. We are also delighted to host the 2012 ED NursePrac at this conference, where delegates will be provided with dynamic clinical presentations and workshops aimed at the ED Nurse Practitioner. 

The scientific committee has drawn up an exciting program which will feature notable local, national and international speakers including Dr Kathryn Holloway from New Zealand. Other speakers include Professor Patricia Davidson, Professor Sandy Middleton and Professor Glenn Gardner. We will also explore the issues faced by various health specialties by conducting practical clinically related workshops and topical sessions.
