PRECI 2026

It was a great pleasure for DCC&A to be involved in the PRECI Conference 2026, held at the Hilton Adelaide in mid-May. The conference brought together more than 400 professionals, researchers and practitioners from across the early childhood education and disability support sectors for three inspiring days of learning, collaboration and connection.

With attendance more than doubling since the previous conference, this year’s event reflected the growing commitment across Australia to supporting children with developmental and physical disabilities through evidence-based practice, innovation and community engagement.

Delegates enjoyed an outstanding program featuring respected international keynote speakers who shared global perspectives, emerging research and practical approaches that are helping shape the future of early childhood intervention and inclusive education. A special highlight was a personal video address from Minister Mark Butler, acknowledging the importance of the sector and the critical work being undertaken by professionals supporting children and families throughout Australia.

Beyond the formal sessions, the conference atmosphere was warm, welcoming and highly collaborative. The exhibition area became a vibrant hub of conversation and networking, with delegates and exhibitors engaging openly, sharing ideas and building valuable professional connections. Many attendees commented on the strong sense of community and the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues while also meeting new faces from across the sector.

The success of PRECI 2026 is a testament to the passion and dedication of everyone involved — speakers, delegates, exhibitors and organisers alike — and highlights the important role conferences play in advancing knowledge, strengthening partnerships and ultimately improving outcomes for children and their families.
